  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add applesauce, honey/maple syrup, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
