  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium heat.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle, shaping into a heart.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter.
  8. Serve with fresh berries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar (if desired).
