Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 medium bananas ripe
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
Optional toppings
  • handful walnuts or pecans optional
  • handful chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl, then add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gently combine with wet ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into the pan. For the crumb, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, rub in cold butter until crumbly, then sprinkle on top.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, then cool before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter or topping.
