Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 medium bananas ripe
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
Optional toppings
  • handful walnuts or pecans optional
  • handful chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas in a bowl. Add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla; stir until smooth.
  3. Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gently combine wet and dry ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into pan. For the crumb, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, rub in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on top.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, check at 50. Cool before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
