Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar or packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe bananas about 3 large or 4 medium
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, bananas, yogurt, and vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently. Mix cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.
  4. Pour half batter into pan, sprinkle cinnamon sugar, add remaining batter, swirl with a knife.
  5. Bake for 55–65 minutes, cool, then drizzle with icing.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and moisture.
