Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add bananas, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; fold into wet mixture.
  4. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using, then pour batter into pan.
  5. Bake for 60-65 minutes; cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
