Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; whisk wet ingredients in another.
  3. Combine wet and dry, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter into pan, smooth top, and bake for 60-70 minutes.
  5. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan and cooling completely.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cloves or ginger.
