Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix mashed bananas with melted butter.
  3. Add baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Stir in flour until just combined; fold in walnuts if using.
  5. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chocolate chips or dried fruit.
