Method
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Add red food coloring if desired.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium heat. Use heart-shaped cookie cutter or freehand.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake. Cook 2-3 minutes per side.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
